What are the various types of data you are collecting?

We are collecting data related to:
- conductivity
- groundwater
- mapping the sinkhole
- sediment composition and age
- respiration in the sinkholes
- microbiology of sinkholes

What is on the agenda for today and for the rest of the exploration?

More daily logs are on the way! Today and tomorrow we are weathered-in. Wednesday we will be out deploying more instrumentation. Thursday and Friday are dependent on weather, since this is Lake Huron in September.

Which vehicles are being deployed in this mission?

The vehicle being used for this mission is the Phantom S2, a remotely operated vehicle from the University of Connecticut/National Undersea Research Program.
