Participate in Ocean Exploration 2020: A National Forum

On July 19-21, ocean explorers from around the globe gathered at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California, to define a National Ocean Exploration Program and build a strategy to launch the program.

During the event, members of the online community who weren't physically at the Aquarium were invited to participate and make a difference. Talks from speakers and discussion panels were broadcast live online. Additionally, a Google+ Hangout virtual breakout session allowed online participants to provide input into what a National Ocean Exploration Program should be, using pre-forum survey results (pdf, 2.4 Mb) as the basis for discussion.

Additionally, correspondents were onsite at the Aquarium throughout the forum to report to you what was being discussed AND to collect ideas from the online community and report them back to onsite participants. Even though the 2013 forum is over, you can still post your ideas or follow the ideas of others via Twitter, Flickr, and Instagram by using #oe2020.
