Dive Update
August 13, 2004
Yesterday afternoon, a cold front turned the Gulf of Mexico's surface from glass to 10-ft swells in a matter of hours. As the rest of the southeastern United States braces for Hurricane Charley, we are dealing with steady chop and roll. Last night, the science party secured their gear, and the ships crew tied down the Johnson-Sea-Link in preparation for a long night of rough seas.
All dive operations are cancelled until conditions improve.
