The NOAA Ocean Exploration 2021 North Atlantic Stepping Stones expedition offers a unique opportunity for explorers of all ages to investigate the poorly understood deepwater areas of the New England Seamounts and the Corner Rise Seamounts of the North Atlantic, specifically the U.S. waters off the U.S. Northeast Coast and the high seas, focusing on the New England and Corner Rise Seamounts. Here we will learn more about seamounts, deep-sea coral and sponge communities, and geological resources.
