From May 8 to June 12, the NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer journeyed from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, exploring along the way. After her last expedition in the Caribbean, Okeanos Explorer left port in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in order to traverse the Western Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Eastern Pacific. In addition to exploratory mapping, the ship pursued several projects that contributed to NOAA’s mission and goals.
