The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bear has arrived back at the Coast Guard pier in Boston, completing a very successful mission (more about this in a few days), offloading all the survey equipment for shipping, and sending off the officers and crew for a well-earned “liberty.” The Mission Team is a bit worn out from the 12-hour watches they stood throughout the last two weeks, where high seas made both working and sleeping a challenge. Now what is left is to write the mission report, which we hope to post before the end of next week.
Many thanks to the officers and crew of the Bear for their support, skills, and patience as we mapped the seabed in search of the Revenue Cutter Bear.
