The red bream (Beryx decadactylus) in its
natural habitat. Red bream is not a major commercial
fish in the South Atlantic, primarily because it lives
so deep (20 to 1,300 meters), though it has commercial
fishery potential on the Blake Plateau. Though wreckfish
fishermen catch red bream from the waters over the
Blake Plateau, we know little about exactly where in
the water column it lives.
